The Assistant Academic Vice President for Religious Scholarly Publications oversees the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship, the Religious Studies Center, and BYU Studies. In addition, his responsibilities include chairing BYU’s Council on Religious Endeavors, and participating on the Church’s Religious Publications Advisory Council, the Scriptures Coordination Committee, and the Religious Educators Committee.
