Faculty Development
The Associate Academic Vice President for Faculty Development oversees all aspects of university-level rank advancement and continuing faculty status (CFS) reviews, which includes chairing the Professorial and Professional Faculty Councils on Rank and Status. The Associate Academic Vice President for Faculty Development works closely with the Faculty Center to support the professional development of faculty members throughout all stages of their careers and to train and advise department chairs. In addition, his responsibilities include ensuring college completion of annual faculty evaluations and post-CFS reviews, evaluating applications for professional development leaves, chairing the University Faculty Development Council and the Faculty Awards Committee, and overseeing the Faculty Advisory Council, the Harold B. Lee Library, Religious Publications, the Wheatley Institute, BYU Studies Quarterly, and BYU’s ROTC programs.
